Today I was busy with my CityBug

Today I installed a set super white LED parking lights to match the color of my
Bi-Xenon lights. After I installed the Bi-Xenon light I didn't like the original parking lights because they gave the "old golden/yellow" light. So that's why I installed the new super white LED parking lights. The color of the light is far better and matches the Bi-Xenon light nicely.

I also installed a flate blade wiper. The flate blade wiper is the same size as the standard wiper blade, size 26"/650mm.

Last week I posted about my new aluminium doorpins.
I made a few new and better pictures of them.

On this picture the doorpin is on it's highest position because the door is unlocked.

On this picture the doorpin is on it's lowest position because the door is locked.

I was wondering where you got your door aluminium doorpins?

REFZ said...

I bought them on Ebay.

How do you replace them?
Unscrewing?

REFZ said...

Yes, you just unscrew the standard doorpins and after that you just screw the alu doorpins in place. As simple as that!!

Hi,
Were did you get the led bulbs
what model do you recommand?

I'm a fan of Ebay so I bought the LED's on Ebay.
I only wanted the color of the LED's to match the color of my Xenon lights.

So I bought single "high bright super white xenon LED's" with a W5W socket. You can buy those lights almost everywere. If you want more light you can also buy them with 4, 5, 6 or even more LED's in one bulb. Search Ebay for W5W xenon white and you will find out.

Hi again

I got a set of these doorpins but cannot get them to fit. The hole in the door is not big enough.

Did you have to modify yours in any way ?

REFZ said...

Yes, you have to modify it a little bit. The standard doorpins are 7.5mm and the alu ones are 8.0mm I believe. So I drilled the hole to 8.5mm and everything fits perfectly.

refz - thanks very much for your help.

I took the door panels off, drilled the holes and they fit great now.

Much better looking than the standard ones and also they're a lot easier to get a hold of.
