Own experience - Center armrest

This evening I drove back home from the east of the country. It was the first long drive (150km) with the new center armrest fitted. The armrest fits very well and is mounted tough enough to hold the pressure of your arm in rest.

I experienced the armrest as relaxing and comfortable. Changing gear is no problem with the armrest fitted and you can also use the handbreak in it's normal way. You can open the top of the armrest and store some small things in it. The top of the armrest is closed with a magnetic lock. If you want you can pull the armrest up into a vertical position. The armrest will stay vertically and it will stay closed with no problem.

Personally I think the center armrest is a very relaxing, comfortable and usefull extra to the interior of the CityBug. The center armrest I bought from LoWeb
will fit the Peugeot 107, the Citroën C1 and the Toyota Aygo perfectly.

The CityBug Blog™ Sponsors

I want to introduce the first CityBug Blog™ Sponsor.
The online shopping company LoWeb is my first sponsor.
On the website of LoWeb you can order car accessories online.

One of the best accessories they are selling for the CityBug is the center armrest.
The center armrest will fit the Peugeot 107, the Citroën C1 and the Toyota Aygo perfecly. I also bought my center armrest from LoWeb and I'm very happy with it.

The price of the original center armrest from the dealer is about € 140,00.
But the price of the center armrest from LoWeb is only € 49,90.

I installed my new center armrest

Today I installed my new center armrest. I ordered the armrest at LoWeb. Together with the armrest you get a installation manual and some screws and black screw-caps to cover the screws.

Installing the armrest is very easy, you only have to drill 4 holes (3mm), screw the armrest in place and cover the screws with the screw-caps. Job done!!

Personally I think the center armrest is a very usefull and comfortable extra.
The center armrest will fit the Peugeot 107, the Citroën C1 and the Toyota Aygo.

Aftermarket center armrest

On Ebay you can find 2 types aftermarket armrests for the Peugeot 107.
They cost about half the price you would pay at your dealer.
And they both claim that it will perfectly fit the Peugeot 107.

Type 1

Type 2

I think I want a center armrest (Type 2) but I'm not sure about it.
Is an armrest a comfortable option? How about shifting gear with it?

Does anybody have any experience with it?
And how about the quality of the armrest?

Frank's Aygo with a complete leather interior

A guy from Holland, his name is Frank, is creating a full leather interior in his Aygo. He didn't stop after doing the front and the rear seats, he also did the armrest, headrest, glovebox, gearknob, gearpanel and the steeringwheel.
He is also thinking of covering the airvents with leather and he will probably think of some other nice features.

If you also want a leather interiour in your CityBug, he can do the job for you.
You can find more information about his Aygo in this topic on the Dutch CityBug Forum.

Here are some pictures from the leather interior, click on the image for a larger version.
