First 1 year service for my Peugeot 107

Yesterday my Peugeot 107 had his first 1 year service.
The milage after 1 year is 13.373km (8.310 mile).

My Peugeot 107 got a full service including new engine oil and a new oilfilter.
So everything is OK for his second year!!

Dutch CityBug Forum

The former owner of the Dutch Aygo Forum has announced that he will stop with the forum and he was looking for somebody to keep the forum online. I was very interested to take over the forum so I made an agreement with Rob, the former owner, that I will take over the forum. Rob did a good job in the past 1.5 year, the forum has grown to a community of almost 500 members nowadays.

In the coming weeks I will add the Dutch CityBug Forum to my collections of websites and everything will be ready before X-mas. I'm very happy with this new addition to my collection of websites. And I want to thank Rob again for everything.

Brno, Oct 2 (CTK) - The TPCA carmaker plans to produce over 300,000 cars this year and further raise the figure next year, having made 293,650 units last year, TPCA's human resources manager Vadim Petrov said Tuesday at an economic forum at the international engineering fair in Brno.

The plant is a joint venture of Toyota, Peugeot and Citroen. It produces the Toyota Aygo, Citroen C1 and Peugeot 107 cars, and exports 99 percent to western Europe.

The largest Czech car maker Skoda Auto plans output at over 600,000 cars this year, and expects to increase it to one million by 2010.

Hyundai's plant will launch operation and produce 200,000 units in 2009 and raise output to 300,000 in 2011.

Companies in the Czech car industry generated sales worth Kc644bn in 2006, 23 percent more than in 2005.

Output increased by more than 40 percent to a record 855,832 units.

This or next year at the latest, car makers in the Czech Republic will produce over one million cars annually.

Suppliers contributed about 56 percent to the total sales and had a 50-percent share in exports.

I want to warn CityBug owners to check the alarmswitch for cracks frequently.
This problem is known on the Dutch CityBug Forum and also on the German Aygo Forum. A cracked alarmswitch should be replaced under warranty by your dealer.

First Dutch CityBug Forum Tour

Today the first Dutch CityBug Forum Tour took place in the North of Holland.
We had a little tour in Noord-Holland and in Den Helder we took the ferry to the island Texel. On Texel we drove around the whole island and we took the ferry back to the mainland. Everybody had a great time!!

Tim of Peugeot Cumbria is a well know poster on the 107 Owners Club Forum.
He is always very helpfull and he also sells original Peugeot accessories with a good discount.

On the 107OC Forum he made it possible to get the date of birth of your Peugeot 107. You only have to give him the last 8 digits of your VIN, it's the same as your chassis number (VIN = Vehicle Identification Number).

The date of birth of my Peugeot 107 is 13th July 2006.
And my Peugeot 107 is build in Kolin factory in Chech Republic.

Aygo-Forum.nl - Forum Tour Texel

On sunday the 16th of September there will be a Forum Tour Texel presented by the Dutch Aygo Forum.

Texel is the first island in the north of Holland.
First we have a little tour through the north of Holland towards Den Helder.
In Den Helder we take the ferry to the island Texel.
On Texel we have a tour around the island and after that we go back by ferry.
The whole tour will take about 7 hours.

This is the first forum tour after a couple of forum meetings.
And I think there will follow some more tours after this one.

Rob, the founder of the Dutch Aygo Forum, and I have made the tour possible.
And today we made a pre run to check the complete route.
The whole route is discribed complete with distances and things like that.

I can hardly wait till next week, I'm really looking forward to it!!

This new car is looking to be a copy of the CityBug concept.
At the moment I only have the pictures and I don't know any details.

Together with a friend of mine I installed a set lowering springs on my CityBug. This friend of mine is a kind of my personal mechanic ;-)
He has done a lot for me in the past, when I was driving my Peugeot 205 GTI Griffe.

Lowering your car is a serious business so I choose for quality springs.
That's why I bought an Eibach Pro-Kit for my Peugeot 107.

Ferrite clamps to reduce noice of the Bi-Xenon lights

Some time ago I installed a HID Bi-Xenon conversion kit on my Peugeot 107.
After this installation I had some noise problems on the radio signal of my favourite radio station. So I searched the internet for information about this problem and I found out that a ferrite clamp could solve this problem. To test it I used two ferrite clamps of an "old" USB cable I never use.

When I switched the lights on I didn't have any noise on the radio signal anymore. At the moment I don't have any road experience but the problem is probably solved.

EDIT:
Last night I have been driving my car with the Bi-Xenon lights on and my favourite radio station and there is really no noice on the radio signal anymore. So I'm very happy with this modification.

Rubber rear spoiler modification

I bought a rubber rear spoiler for my Peugeot 107 on Ebay.
The rubber spoiler is very flexible so you can follow the curve of the roof nicely.
The rubber spoiler is fitted with industrial double sided 3M tape. To make it fit perfectly I had to cut of 3mm of the rubber edges at both sides of the spoiler.

Today I installed a Waeco Comfort Indicator Module MT-200.
I posted about this some time ago, see this topic.

How to wire up a comfort indicator module?
Use cableset 2, 5 wires, delivered with the module.
The jumpers on the comfort indicator module have to be set in position B, all left.
To connect the comfort indicator module take the wires of rev counter, see picture below and the wires of the indicator handle.

The connection of the 5 wires of the indicator module
• connect the black wire to the brown wire of the rev counter
• connect the red wire to the red wire of the rev counter
• connect the green wire to the lightgreen (mint) wire of the indicator handle
• connect the yellow wire to the black wire of the indicator handle
• connect the orange wire to the yellow wire of the indicator handle

Use the wires of the white connector of the indicator handle.
To get there you have to remove the plastic panel under the stearing wheel.

Use the wires of the white connector of the rev counter.
To get there you have to remove the plastic panel of the counter unit.

I mounted the module behind the plastic panel of the center console.
Behind the plastic panel is space enough for the module.
